Armed Forces Welfare Housing Organization (AFWHO) is an organization that is dedicatedly functioning with the sole objective of initiating, promoting, and executing welfare activities for serving and retired Armed Forces officials, including the Paramilitary and Police Forces. The organisation is registered under Section 1882 of the Act and follows the guidelines of that section in letter and spirit. The organisation operates on a NO PROFIT, NO LOSS basis.

With the sole objective being the welfare of our men in uniform, the functions and activities of the AFWHO include negotiating and facilitating the provisions of dedicated residential projects comprising plots, apartments, independent floors, farms, etc. as per the needs of our men. The organisation helps our men, who are posted in far-flung areas and are unable to meet their housing needs due to service exigencies, get their dream homes at a place of their choice and at an affordable price well within their budget.

The AFWHO does not undertake on the development and construction of any project or planned scheme anywhere in the nation, but instead bargains with the builders and developers to obtain the best prices, significantly less than the going market rates, without sacrificing the quality of the dwelling units' construction.

AFWHO is being spearheaded by retired officers of the Indian Defence Services, with active support from seasoned experts in different fields.
